Love token

This is one of my new kits for Altered Pages, a padded heart love token. I thought it would make a lovely wedding gift for the bride on her big day or choose another image and it would be nice for a new Mum or even your Mum on Mothers day. Look out for lots of new kits for sale soon on the Altered Pages website, link on the side of my blog.

Mermaid Christmas card

I have been having hydrotherapy for my ankle over the past few weeks to keep it strong until my 5th operation in January. My physio Nicky makes it such fun. Last session we were trying to think of a name to call her and I came up with Mermaid physio, which she liked. Hence the Mermaid Christmas card for her. A bit out of the usual box but I think it works!!

Vintage Santa ATC

This weeks theme with my Google group is vintage Santa's, here is my Jolly Old Father Christmas!!

Advent Sunday

Happy 1st Sunday in Advent! Its a Austrian/ German tradition to light a candle on the first Sunday of Advent then one every Sunday up till Christmas day, so I have learnt over the years in my German class. We have tried to do one for the past few years but usually forget and start late but this year we actually lit the first candle on the first Sunday in Advent. Basically we just made a ring out of scrunched up newspaper then covered it with another layer of paper to hole it together, wrapped wire around the soaked it in water. Cut Holly and Ivy from the garden and poked them into the ring. Finally wired it all round to hold it and added 4 candles!

First ever journal page

I have always looked with adoring eyes at peoples Art Journal pages and have wanted to have a go for a while now. I was going to start in the new year but with encouragement from Kate Crane, a fantastic art journalist and a fantastic tutorial on Youtube by Lucky Butterfly2 I have created my very first page!!! I am so proud of myself and I think I might be addicted to another for of playing with my favourite art materials!!

Christmas tag

Its almost time to add the Christmas tag to our tag book with Altered designs, here is my tag to be posted off.

Dottee dolls seasons

I have joined a swap on Art 42 to make the 4 seasons of Dottee dolls. The first part is winter and spring, then later summer and autumn. They are not due for a while but as they have to go to the USA I wanted to get them off before the Christmas rush.

November challenge

This months challenge I offered on Altered Pages was to make a 4x4 with the theme Autumn. Here is mine. Altered Pages has a lovely collage sheet of weather vanes, it looked lovely with my new Tattered Angel stamps I treated myself to!

Austrian paper doll

For the Art 42 around the world paper doll swap I chose Austria ( no surprise for those who know me well!!) I am so pleased with the look of the Laderhosen, craft colour card scrunched up and inked to make it look like leather. I wonder which country's doll will come back in exchange?

Witchy Sisters ATC

I set a challenge on the Altered Pages google group to use an image not normally used for Halloween and make a Halloween ATC. Here's mine, I used an image from the Beauty in Sepia collage sheet and a black pen to make this ATC.

Glass rings

As part of my sisters birthday present I made here these wine glass rings. We always manage to get our wine glasses mixed up so this will mean we will always know who's is who's. She was very pleased with them.

To make them cut ring memory wire in to single rings, loop over t he end, add your chosen beads the loop over the other end. It will be tricky to loop over memory wire but it will go in the end.

Tea cup birthday card

It was my sisters birthday yesterday, I loved this cup and saucer from Polka Doodles cd so made it as her card, trouble is it ended up being a lot bigger than I anticipated, over A4!

Snowman Christmas count down

I was inspired by the Maya Road design team blog to create my own snowman Christmas count down. Made from chipboard and then using Altered Pages brilliant Christmas collage sheets to collage the number pages I think I ended up with a cute little Christmas count down ornament. He will be available very soon as a kit with Altered pages if you would like one for yourself.
