Birthday cards

A couple of different birthday cards for my neighbours. The first is for my neighbour Lucy who loves Guinea Pigs, so as soon as I saw  this image in one of the new Daisy Trail digital kits I just had to use it for her birthday card. I added a party hat and used an embossing folder for the background

The second one is for her Mum Christine who's birthday is 2 days later. For this one I used my Pan Pastels for all the colour and then used my dies to cut the bird and leaves.

If you would like to know how I made these then pop over to the Fruit Pixie Blog.

Ruby Rocket Cook collection magnetic menu board

This is another project I have made for The Fruit Pixie using the Ruby Rocket Cook collection

The inspiration for this came from a menu planner I saw on Pinterest. Just the thing I needed as every night hubby and I ask each other the same old question     "What shall we have for tea? " and you always get the same answer " I don't know !"  So now with this wonderful idea that question is a thing of the past................. well that's the idea! :)
So if you go through a similar thing then this could be the project for you, there is a step by step photo tutorial over on the Fruit Pixie website.

AJC Hollywood journal page

For July the Art Journal caravans port of call was the USA.  One of the first things I think of when I think of the USA is Hollywood and I LOVE my old Hollywood films.

So this Hybrid mixed media page is my celebration of the golden age of Hollywood.

Dies storage book

I thought I only had a few small thin dies until I decided to make a die storage book using the Ruby Rocket cook papers and plastic CD pockets for the Fruit Pixie.

The great thing about the sticks 2 magnetic sheets (which comes in A4, I cut them up to fit the pockets) is that they are magnetic on one side to store your dies,

the other is to store your stamps.

I also labelled the pockets and used some more of the Ruby Rocket paper, which is double sided, to make some dividers to easily find the die I want.

So now my dies are safe and organised! Its a great project to make too.

All the papers and chipboard pennants are from Ruby Rocket and are available from The Fruit Pixie.
