Keisercraft Needle and thread scrapbook layout

My Mum has always enjoyed cloths and as a young woman went to evening classes to learn dress making. I have lots of old photos of her in her latest outfit so the new papers from Keisercraft were perfect for a layout using some of the photos.

I used one of the 12x12 papers as the background

Then some of the Collectables, which are chipboard pieces, to frame the photos.

The Tim Holtz alterations die Sewing room just went perfectly with it, more collectables were used here too.

Then of course I had to add some hand stitching as a finishing touch.

All these products can be bought from The Fruit Pixie online shop.

I took sewing lessons eons ago and was a dismal failure, I just could not follow the directions, lol, but I so admire anyone that can. I had a room mate from Scotland that could sew by hand an entire garment, wow was that something to watch, so much talent. Love your page and that paper is perfect, have a nice weekend, hugs

Love these vintage pages. Your very pretty mum could have been great friends with my older sisters. They were probably about her age and spent many hours sewing their clothes as well. It was hard to find clothes in the shops that were both fashionable and affordable in those days.
